TGAC team raise £622 for Jeans for Genes Day

Friday 7 October saw the team at TGAC launch into a fundraising frenzy in aid of Jeans for Genes Day, an annual event which raises money and creates awareness of children who have been seriously affected by genetic disorders.

Not only did the arrive at work in their jeans in support of the charity but a cake sale ensued with team members going into a baking frenzy and preparing tasty treats to raise funds. Overall with the help of our colleagues over at the John Innes Centre and the Institute of food research we raised an amazing amount of £622.

The money raised will go towards funding a booklet and film to show teenagers with severe neurological disorders that by coming to terms with their diagnosis they don't have to give up on their dreams. For more information about Jeans for Genes please visit www.jeansforgenes.com.
